The company

LOGO_TEMPDiggerFilms came to life in 2003, right after Stories of a Gravedigger Chapter 1: The Deadtime Stories wrapped. Shot for less than $6,000 Canadian (about $4,000 US at the exchange rate of the time), Stories of a Gravedigger was a major landmark for the young filmmakers behind DiggerFilms. Efforts to sell the movie took them all across the United States, allowing them to meet a large number of people in the horror industry. Since then, DiggerFilms has produced quite a few short films that have been screened at various festivals, including Montreal’s Fantasia Festival and Spasm Festival and the Sainte-Maxime International Horror Film Festival in France. DiggerFilms also won a number of awards, including Best Director, Best Killing Scene and People’s Choice, for the movie The Hit. Their latest short film, The Mask of James Henry was viewed more then 65 000 times on Youtube.

In 2010, Under the Scares was release into the festival circuit and won 2 awards for Best horror documentary.
